Open your mind to postgraduate study

The University of Teesside is hosting its annual Postgraduate Event on Tuesday 8 April 2003, 11am – 7pm. The event will be held at the Main Entrance foyer (outside the new Course Information Centre), in the Middlesbrough Tower, off Borough Road, Middlesbrough.

Bill Greenwood, Senior Careers Adviser in the Department of Student Services , said: “If you’re wondering what to do after your degree, why not consider a postgraduate course as your next step? A postgraduate qualification can make a huge difference to someone’s employability or confidence when setting up a business of their own. You don’t have to be a Teesside graduate to do a postgraduate course here – we welcome graduates from any Higher Education institution.”

The University of Teesside offers Masters and Professional Doctorates in many areas including business, counselling, criminology, design, engineering, health and history, law, marketing, multimedia, sport and exercise and virtual reality.

There are also professional vocational courses in a range of areas including, teaching training, law and criminal justice.

The MSc Graduate Enterprise in Multimedia course is for graduates who plan to launch their own small business. Once ready to start up their business, these students also have access to rent-free office accommodation, furniture, PCs with Internet access and a range of training workshops.

Many of the University of Teesside’s courses carry funding to cover tuition fees and a monthly allowance. People can also get advice and guidance from the University’s Careers Service.
