Justin Greetham, Animex Student Award co-ordinator, said: “Last year was the inaugural animation awards for Animex, and we had an amazing response. With 350 entries worldwide, we could truly call it an international competition.

“As well as adding three more categories, we also want to hear from people interested in designing and creating the actual awards which will be presented to the animators at the Animex awards ceremony. If you have any interesting ideas for a trophy design, get in touch with me and send supporting artwork. The winning designer will see their trophy created as a prize. There is also an opportunity to win dedicated painting software, book vouchers (courtesy of focal press http://www.focalpress.com) and cash.”

The closing date for trophy designs proposals is 1st September 2004.
