The prospectus also includes information on the University’s bursaries, government grants, loans and additional help available in September 2006.
Siobhan Jones, Director of the University’s Corporate Communications Unit said: “The prospectus is an invaluable resource for anyone thinking about studying at Teesside. It contains details on all our full-time courses as well as more information about our generous package of bursaries, student life, accommodation and career opportunities.”
The University will be offering a package of bursaries and scholarships that could be worth as much as £6,900 over three years to eligible students starting a full-time degree course in September 2006. This will be on top of the student grants, loans and fee remission being introduced by the Government in 2006.
It means that some students will have as much as £11,000 per year to support them while studying at Teesside. The Teesside ‘top-up’ package will be front-loaded so that every full-time student gets at least £500 in their first year. Less well-off students will get a Teesside bursary of £1,300 a year.
Like almost all other English universities, Teesside will be charging £3,000 for most of its full-time undergraduate degree courses from September 2006. Students will not have to pay it back until after they are earning over £15,000 as graduates.
The prospectus is also available on-line at www.tees.ac.uk, or a copy can be ordered via the web site. Alternatively, you can call the University’s prospectus hotline on 01642 218121, or email hotline@tees.ac.uk
