Graduates of this programme will have a thorough grounding in core business skills including Human Resource Management, Marketing and Accounting as well as specific areas of knowledge for the industry. They can work in a range of occupations, including policy development, tour operations, event organisation or heritage management. "

A work placement is included in the second year of the course, where students will spend one day a week or its equivalent with an employer, such as local authorities. A new BA (Hons) degree in Public Relations will also be launched in September. The course combines the study of marketing and marketing communications with modules in public relations and skills development in writing.

Corporate Communications is a developing area and graduates of this new degree will have the right skills to find employment in such positions, with large organisations."
