ITN star delivers the news to University

ITN newscaster and news correspondent, and University of Teesside Honorary Graduate, Shulie Ghosh will be discussing the challenges of working in television news at a special lecture at the University, on Wednesday 15 February, 6.30pm – 7.45pm. Entitled Making the News, the event is free and open to any member of the public.

The lecture will be held in the University of Teesside’s Centuria Building, off Victoria Road, Middlesbrough. Refreshments will be served from 6.00pm. Booking is advised as this lecture will be very popular. To reserve a place call 01642 384255 or email alumni.office@tees.ac.uk.

Shulie’s talk will explore the many aspects of working in television news. She will draw upon her extensive experience of working in both radio and television, followed by an opportunity to ask questions.

After spending time in India, Shulie was educated at Teesside High School, before gaining a degree in Law from the University of Kent. She returned to the region when she began her broadcast career at Radio Cleveland and then joined BBC’s East Midlands Today programme before moving to ITN in 1999.

She received an honorary Master of Arts degree from the University of Teesside in 2003.
