30 August 2000

The University of Teesside is introducing exciting new courses to respond to changing needs of students and the demand for graduates with the skills to work in growth industries like Interactive Computer Entertainment, Leisure & Tourism and Public Relations.

Among popular cutting-edge programmes introduced in recent years are degrees in Computer Animation and Computer Games Design. Courses like these have enabled Teesside University to build on its reputation as one of the Britain's top universities for teaching Computer Science. The Middlesbrough-based university gained an 'Excellent' teaching quality rating from Higher Education Quality watchdogs a few years ago.

This compares with a ten per-cent increase nationwide. I think we have really established Teesside as one of the major players in providing high quality computing courses and our graduates are in great demand from employers."
