Clearing the way to a new future

11 August 2006

Many students are expected to ring the University of Teesside’s help lines after receiving their A level results on Thursday 17 August 2006 to confirm their place at university.

Known as 'Confirmation and Clearing' and lasting until mid-September, the aim is to match potential students to courses which still have vacancies. It has also become increasingly popular with people making late applications to university.

As well as finding out about courses, people can also receive information about our range of generous bursaries and scholarships. Information on other student services, such as accommodation, sport and recreation, counselling and health is also available.

New courses at the University of Teesside this year include BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies, BSc (Hons) IT & Networks, BA (Hons) Digital Music and Digital Media and BSc (Hons) Forensic Computing.

Requests for clearing information can also be emailed to registry@tees.ac.uk or visit the University of Teesside's web site at www.tees.ac.uk. The website also includes information about bursaries and fees available to students. The new online 'funding calculator' is a quick and easy way of finding out how much you may be eligible for.
