Sixth Formers can do the Teesside time warp

A sixth form history conference will be held at the University of Teesside on Friday 15 September from 10.30am-3pm. The conference, entitled ‘Gender and Power: Britain and Europe since 1500’ is free of charge and open to all local ‘A’ level students.

Dr Barry Doyle, Senior Lecturer in British History at the University said: “The conference will provide clear and up-to-date talks on key debates in the ‘A’ level history syllabus. Speakers will focus on gender and power in a range of historical eras, including Edwardian Britain, inter-war Germany and the Soviet Union.”

The programme is:
