An international exchange of ideas

01 July 2007

An international gathering has taken place at the University of Teesside. The University’s Business School hosted visitors from seven European Universities, as part of its membership of the DEMI network (Diplome Europeen de Management International). The DEMI network is a close partnership of eight European Universities.

As part of the network meeting, the University hosted a forum for DEMI partners, entitled ‘Personal Development Planning from an International Perspective’. This gave staff from the eight Universities an opportunity to share best practice and work together on future projects.

Angelika Flynn, Senior Lecturer in German and International Exchange Co-ordinator said: “The network meeting was very beneficial in cementing links with key partners in Europe. Close co-operation with our partner universities abroad gives students from the University’s Business School the opportunity to gain an additional international qualification that can prove very valuable in the job market”.
