Helping to achieve a good death in today’s society

A new season of free University of Teesside professorial and public lectures starts on Wednesday 28 November, with Professor Edwin Pugh delivering a talk entitled ‘Memento Mori: Remember we all die, Helping to achieve a good death in today’s society’.

The lecture is from 6.30pm - 8.00pm in the University’s Centuria Building, Victoria Road, Middlesbrough. Refreshments are available from 6.00pm.

Professor Edwin Pugh is a local consultant in palliative medicine and visiting professor of palliative care at the University. His lecture will explore current issues in the care of people who are dying. It will examine the role of the health service and the wider role of society in achieving a good death. There will be an opportunity for audience questions following the lecture.
