Red light lecture at University

A public lecture on tackling crime in a Midlands red light area will be held at the University of Teesside on Wednesday 30 January.

Entitled 'Tackling Criminality in a Red Light District - A New Approach', the lecture will be delivered by Rodger Patrick, a retired Chief Inspector from West Midlands Police. He is currently a Research Associate at the University of Birmingham’s Institute of Local Government Studies.

The lecture is free and open to all, from 2.00-4.00pm in Room CL1.87, School of Social Sciences & Law, First Floor, Clarendon Building. The Clarendon Building is on the University campus behind the Dickens pub. Light refreshments are available from 1.15pm. 

Cath Crosby, Senior Lecturer in Law at the University said: “This will be of particular interest to students studying law or sociology, and to members of professional and voluntary agencies in the relevant area.”
