Flexible route to study

07 February 2008

A flexible route to gaining a degree is on offer at the University of Teesside through Work-based Studies.

A head start towards the degree can be achieved through the recognition of previous learning experiences either from formal qualifications such as HND or from learning gained at work.

Two new Work-based Study courses start this month to enable students to achieve this credit and begin the degree process, working at their own pace.

Make Your Learning Count (MYLC) and Learning Skills for Work-based Studies (LSWBS) are aimed at both workers and jobseekers.

The MYLC module starts on Tuesday 12 February, running from 5pm to 8pm every two weeks at the University’s Business School. LSWBS starts on Tuesday 19 February, running from 5.00pm to 8.00pm with four taught sessions at Teesside Business School.

For further details about course fees and enrolment contact Ian Jones, Programme Manager Work-based Studies, or Sharon Oxley on 01642 342906 or email lifelong@tees.ac.uk for more information.
