Journey of a Psychologist

24 April 2008

Psychologist Anna van Wersch will explore her academic journey in research focused mainly on illness and health related issues in a professorial lecture.

Professor van Wersch, of the School of Social Sciences & Law, will present The Journey of a Psychologist, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm on Wednesday 7 May, in the University’s Centuria Building, Victoria Road, Middlesbrough.

Her lecture will focus on breast cancer projects she started in 1992 in Rotterdam, which were subsequently supported by the University and are currently ongoing with several NHS primary care trusts across the region.

This is the last in the current 2007/8 honorary and professorial lecture series to be held at the University, which with its predecessors Constantine College and Teesside Polytechnic, has held the lectures to share knowledge and expertise with industry, professionals and the community.

Admission is free but places must be booked by contacting the University’s Alumni Office on 01642 384255, email alumni.office@tees.ac.uk.
