All that festive jazz!

Renowned jazz musician Dave O’Higgins will present a recital as part of a series of events celebrating culture on campus.

Dave O'Higgins who has played with the likes of Ray Charles, Frank Sinatra, Peter Gabriel and Jamie Cullum, will perform with the Noel Dennis Quartet.

Noel, a Teesside graduate and now a Principal Lecturer in Marketing and Recruitment in the Business School, has been actively involved in the region's jazz scene for many years, including the Voice Of The North Jazz Orchestra.

The quartet comprises Noel on flugelhorn/trumpet, his brother Adam Dennis on piano, double bassist Andy Champion and drummer Adrian Tilbrook.

We have been hosting a range of events with a free programme of events for staff, focusing on music, film, arts, performance and the region's heritage.

Public invited Now members of public are being invited to take part with the Culture - Music - Christmas Jazz Recital to be held from 12.30pm to 1.15pm on Wednesday 17 December in the Brittan Building, Main Hall. Admission is free.
