Technological breakthroughs to be focus of professorial lecture

Future challenges and opportunities arising from the technological breakthroughs of the 21st Century will be the focus of a free lecture.

Professor Simon Hodgson, Dean of the University's School of Science & Technology, will draw on examples spanning the aerospace, electronics and biomedical engineering sectors.

From the nanometric to the macroscopic His lecture Size matters? Engineering materials and performance from the nanometric to the macroscopic can be heard from 6.30pm to 8.00pm on Wednesday 4 March in the Centuria Building, off Victoria Road, Middlesbrough.

The free event is part of the University’s 2008-09 Honorary and Professorial Public Lecture Series. It is open to the public, but places must be booked by contacting the University’s Alumni Office on 01642 384255 or email alumni.office@tees.ac.uk
