ExpoTees hailed a huge success

18 March 2009

Hundreds of people flocked to the annual ExpoTees exhibition to marvel at our students’ work.

Now in its fourth year, ExpoTees showcases the final year projects of over 70 students from the School of Computing.

The Phoenix Building, where the exhibition was staged on Tuesday 17 March, was packed with students, academics and business people, all keen to find out more about the fantastic range of work on display.

All the students who took part in the ExpoTees exhibition were on hand to discuss their work and network with people in the computing industry to make vital contacts and create employment opportunities.

The work on display included a social networking site for backpackers, a film where pensioners race on their electric mobility scooters and an interactive computing tool which teaches music to children.

Diverse work to impress industry experts Jo Noble, ExpoTees Organiser, said the event had been a huge success, which attracted hundreds of visitors throughout the day.

She added: ‘ExpoTees really is a great event for students to showcase their work. They get a lot of exposure to different companies and they receive feedback on their projects from experts in the field.

‘The standard of work this year really has been fantastic and the thing that has really stood out is the diverse range of projects on display.’
