Passport is just the ticket

13 July 2009

Congratulations to our winners in the Passport to Prizes competition.

Leonie Gerlach, from Carmel RC Technology College in Darlington, scooped first prize and was handed a £100 gift card for ticketmaster.com. She is now hoping to see chart topper Beyonce in concert.

Leonie wants to study dietetics or food nutrition at university. She has started her research using UCAS and the Passport VIP pages and said: ‘we get a lot of information about higher education at college, but it’s useful to have another source of information like the Passport VIP pages.’

Christopher Rothwell, from St John’s RC Comprehensive School in Bishop Auckland, was the second place winner and got his hands on a new ipod.

He is hoping to study medicine at university and has been using the Passport VIP pages to help him with his personal statement. At the end of June Christopher joined 27 of his fellow pupils for a missionary trip to Peru, where they spent time with the locals and helped build a soup kitchen.

Competitions to keep on coming The Passport to Prizes competition invited members to answer three questions for the chance to be entered into a free prize draw. It was the first of many competitions we will be running, so Passport VIPs should look out for further information - you could get your hands on some exciting prizes while testing your higher education knowledge.
