Clearing the way to a new future

10 August 2009

We are expecting our helpline to be busy next week with students confirming their place following the publication of A-level results on Thursday 20 August.

Known as ‘Confirmation and Clearing’ and lasting until mid-September, we will help match potential students to courses which still have vacancies.

This process has also become increasingly popular with people who have made a late application to university.

Generous bursaries As well as finding out about courses, students can also find out information on our range of generous bursaries and scholarships and student services such as accommodation, sport and recreation, counselling and health.

Clearing and late application enquiries can be made at www.tees.ac.uk/clearing by completing a Clearing Enquiry Form.

Other clearing information including course vacancy listings and phone numbers for each course are also provided.

General enquiries can be made using the freephone number 0800 9520226 which is available on Thursday 20 and Friday 21 August from 8:30am until 8.00pm.

The same number is available from 10.00am to 3.00pm on Saturday 22 August, with an answerphone service on Sunday 23 August. The line is open again from 8:30am to 6.00pm from Monday 24 to Wednesday 26 August.

Open day In addition, the University is hosting an Open Day on Saturday 22 August, from 10.00am to 3.00pm. Visitors can tour the campus to meet staff from all subject areas and family and friends are also welcome.

Further details about the Open Day are available on 01642 384266, email enquiries@tees.ac.uk.
