Free lecture focuses on the perfect home

06 May 2010

At a time of uncertainty in the housing market and the economy, a free lecture by Teesside University’s Professor Tony Chapman will consider whether buying into the dream of the ideal home was ever the right choice.

He will look at factors such as two thirds of UK families now being homeowners, with people investing much, both economically and emotionally, in their properties.

Professor Chapman’s lecture, Is it ideal to strive for the perfect home?, can be heard from 6.30pm on 7.45pm on Wednesday 12 May in the Centuria Building, off Victoria Road, Middlesbrough. All welcome, refreshments available from 6.00pm.

Book a place by contacting the University’s Alumni Office: T: 01642 342887 E: alumni.office@tees.ac.uk

Visitors to the 80th anniversary lecture series have been able to take advantage of a public lecture loyalty card scheme, which provides an opportunity to win a bottle of champagne by getting a loyalty card stamped at each lecture. Anyone who has collected three or more stamps on their loyalty card can send it to the address on reverse of the card by Friday 11 June to be entered into the champagne prize draw.

Find out more about the loyalty scheme from the University’s Alumni Office.
