Clearing advice at University of the Year

13 August 2010

We are offering a range of advice services and a specific Clearing open day following the release of A level results.

On Thursday 19 August the UK’s students can enter the process known as Clearing, which helps to match potential students to courses which still have vacancies.

David Hudson, Assistant Director UK Student Recruitment at Teesside, said: ‘When students receive their results on August 19 the University has many ways in which we can help.

‘We have a dedicated phone line, 0800 9520 226, and the Clearing open day on Saturday 21 August is the perfect opportunity for students to visit the campus and talk to staff about their options.'

Exploring other options Part-time study may also be an option for students to explore.

David Hudson added: ‘Increasingly, people are considering alternative ways of returning to Higher Education, such as part-time study.

‘Our Darlington site at The Fairway has a range of opportunities available for part-time courses starting this autumn which can be fitted around other commitments.

'Our Darlington website has more on these courses and information about the ongoing development of our new Campus building behind Darlington College which is due to open in September 2011.

‘If people would like to find out more about these part-time courses, we are holding two open days on 8 and 9 September where staff will be available to answer questions.'

In addition to the Darlington website, potential students can call 01642 342942 or email enquiries@tees.ac.uk.

For more information about Clearing, visit our Clearing website, phone 01642 384266, or email registry@tees.ac.uk.
