James Ramsbotham has applauded the entrepreneurial work which the University is involved in and said we deserve to go on and win the award.
We are finalists for the prestigious Times Higher Education Entrepreneurial University of the Year.
Honorary Graduate and Dragon’s Den star Duncan Bannatyne, together with a number of graduate businesses, have already thrown their support behind the University.
Now Mr Ramsbotham has come forward to congratulate Teesside and praise our continuing success.
He said: ‘It’s a fantastic achievement for the University and couldn’t be more appropriate. Everything I have seen here has been so entrepreneurial, there’s a willingness to work with and encourage businesses.
‘The North East Chamber of Commerce has a phenomenally close relationship with Teesside University and it’s a relationship which has gone on from strength to strength.
‘The University is always thinking of ways to encourage people to seize opportunities which exist. With this nomination, the University is showing that it’s not sitting on its laurels and it sets a superb example to others.’
