22 October 2010

BBC One’s flagship current affairs programme Question Time was broadcast from Teesside University on Thursday 21 October.

The panel included Transport Secretary Philip Hammond, Shadow Business Secretary John Denham and leader of the Green Party Caroline Lucas.

Professor Graham Henderson, the University's Vice-Chancellor, said: ‘Teesside University was delighted to host this week's Question Time, particularly in the year in which we are University of the Year and also celebrated our 80th anniversary.

‘Question Time is a television institution enjoyed by millions of viewers and it was very pleasing to host it on our campus.’

Viewers watching the show took to social media outlet Twitter to give their opinions with many people applauding George Pascoe-Watson's comment that Teesside is one of the best Universities in the country.
