Take your seat at Teesside for An Audience With...

From Avatar to Adele Parks, heroic leaders to environmental quests, a wide range of individuals will be in the spotlight in our An audience with... series.

Launching the series of free talks is Professor Eric Senior, Director of the Clean Environment Management Centre (CLEMANCE), the environmental research and enterprise centre of Teesside University.

He will present Rubbish Dumps and Beyond – One Man’s Environmental Quest from 6.30pm to 7.45pm in Room H001, Centuria Building, on Wednesday 1 December. Refreshments are available from 6.00pm.

Environmental protection His talk will include an exploration of methods which been developed to study complex associations in relation to environmental protection – such as cultures to treat industrial wastewaters and clean up contaminated land and smelly gasses.

The next lecture will take place on Wednesday 16 February when Professor Joyce Liddle will present No More Heroic Leaders – It's Time To Join Up The Dots.

Professor Liddle will explore the idea of public leadership – what it means, how we understand it and how it fits within the changing context of public services.

From Avatar to Art, the Computer Graphics Way will be presented by Andy Lomas on Wednesday 16 March. Emmy award-winning Andy graduated from Teesside in 1992. Andy, who recently received his second honorary degree from the University, will reflect on 20 years in computer graphics, comparing his commercial experiences with films such as Avatar, Walking with Dinosaurs, The Matrix: Revolutions with his own artistic exploration.

From Cinderella to Bestseller is An Audience With author Adele Parks on Wednesday 27 April. Adele, who has written ten top-ten bestsellers in ten years, shares her journey to becoming a writer.
