A performance worth celebrating

10 December 2010

Talented students celebrated the opening of our newly-refurbished Mercuria Building with two inspiring public performances.

Mercuria is the former University sport therapy building, off Woodlands Road, and is now a shared facility between the School of Computing and the performing arts section of the School of Arts & Media.

To mark its opening students from the BA (Hons) Dance and the BA (Hons) Performance for Live and Recorded Media delivered free 45-minute performances on Wednesday 8 and Thursday 9 December.

The show included dance, drama, sections from plays and comedy and was watched by staff, fellow students and members of the public.

Mecuria’s facilities include wall bars and mirrors for dance students, a sprung dance floor and a sound system.
