PR’s just the job for first-class Charlotte

Charlotte King is enjoying London life in the fast moving world of Public Relations after achieving a first class BA (Hons) degree in media studies from Teesside University.

Charlotte, 22, from Yarm, is now living in Notting Hill and working in East London as an assistant account executive for MischiefPR. The company were recently awarded PR Week’s Consultancy of the Year for 2010.

Charlotte gained her post after applying for work experience with MischiefPR at the end of her second year at Teesside. She said: 'I ended up with a place on their graduate scheme and from there, with a lot of hard work, got a permanent job offer which I accepted. I am enjoying every single aspect of my job, from building relationships with the media, to planning events, doing campaigns and working with some of the best brands in the market place.'

Best all round performance in media studies At her graduation Charlotte was also awarded the School of Arts & Media best all round performance in media studies. She said: 'The tutors were fantastic and I can’t credit them enough for their support and knowledge. The facilities on hand are fantastic and Teesside University is a great place to learn.'

Charlotte is a former student of Conyers Secondary School and Conyers sixth form in Yarm.
