Join the audience for animated Andy

Teesside University honorary graduate Andy Lomas is returning to the campus to talk about his award-winning work.

Andy’s free talk, From Avatar to Art, the Computer Graphics Way, can be heard in the Centuria Building, off Victoria Road, Middlesbrough, as part of the University’s Audience With... series.

His talk is from 6.30pm to 7.00pm on Wednesday 16 March. Refreshments are available from 6.00pm. Book a place by contacting the University’s Alumni team at alumni.office@tees.ac.uk.

Having graduated from Teesside in 1992 with a master’s in computer graphics, Andy received an honorary Master of Arts from Teesside in 2004. He was further honoured by the University with a Doctorate in Professional Achievement in 2010.

Working on Avatar During his talk Andy will reflect on 20 years in computer graphics, which has involved working on successes such as Avatar, Walking With Dinosaurs, Over the Hedge, The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions.

He will also look at the effective tools used by technicians and artists and the different needs of film production and artistic exploration.
