There’s an opportunity to meet and talk to staff at the University’s brand new undergraduate and postgraduate teaching building located at Vicarage Lane, next to Darlington College.
The Open House sessions will give visitors a chance to have a look around inside the five-storey Darlington campus and to find out more about the facilities and courses on offer.
The sessions will be held from 4.00pm to 7.00pm on: • 20 July • 27 July • 3 August • 10 August • 17 August • 24 August.
Covering 4,000 square metres, the campus provides a state-of-the-art teaching environment and facilities for university undergraduate and postgraduate courses, business short courses, conference activity and special events. The building which includes a library, cafe, social learning spaces and computer labs, will enable a significant expansion of the range of higher education courses available in the town.
An exciting time for the University Nigel Evans, Campus Director, said: ‘This is a truly exciting development for the University and the town with courses being offered mainly part-time by all of Teesside University’s six academic schools.
‘Courses cover diverse subject areas ranging from short courses in digital photography, to undergraduate computing degrees and master’s degrees in business and creative writing.’
A University open day and opportunity to learn more about the wide range of courses will launch the new campus on Saturday 3 September, from 10.00am until 3.00pm. For further details email enquiries@tees.ac.uk.
The new campus building been funded by the University, One North East, via Tees Valley Unlimited, and Darlington Council and is also supported by Darlington College and Tees Valley Regeneration.
