As well as touching on employability, alternative routes into higher education, a graduate perspective and applying/personal statements, the evenings will end with a comprehensive presentation on student finance.
Nicola Doyle, Student Recruitment Manager at Teesside University, said: 'Talking to parents, we have discovered that many are unaware that higher education is still free at the point of entry and don’t understand the new system. There is no family debt to take on and graduates only start paying their loan back once they are earning over £21,000. We’re here to help dispel all the myths.' The sessions will be held on Wednesday 15 February, Wednesday 14 March and Wednesday 25 April from 5.45pm – 8.00pm in the Centuria Building on Middlesbrough campus.
The series is open to the public and can be booked online at www.tees.ac.uk/parents. For further information about the events, email enquiries@tees.ac.uk or call 01642 342275.
