Digital expertise on display at ExpoTees

17 April 2012

Digital stars of the future will display their expertise at Teesside University’s annual ExpoTees event.

ExpoTees is an annual showcase of work by final year students in the University’s School of Computing. The work on show will demonstrate innovation, research and development in a wide range of computing subjects, from advanced computer technology to those centred on entertainment.

This year’s event will be held on Wednesday 9 May, 1.00pm to 7.00pm, at the University’s Darlington campus.

While showcasing a diverse array of work in a range of computing subjects from some of the University’s most promising students, ExpoTees also provides an opportunity for employers to meet the final year students who will soon be graduates entering the industry sector.

ExpoTees leads to some students securing employment or industry placements before they have graduated, helping to retain talent in the region. During the event, industry employers can meet and speak to students about their work, view their portfolios and listen to their ideas.

Jo Noble, ExpoTees organiser, said: 'ExpoTees really is a great event for students to showcase their work, while also getting exposure to different companies and receiving feedback on their projects from experts in the field.

'The standard of work this year is fantastic, with a diverse range of projects on display. And with the event being held for the first time at our Darlington campus, located close to the train station and major road networks, it’s a a superb setting for our exhibition which will take place over two floors.'
