Helen Howard, Admissions Tutor for Law at the University, said: “The evening will be very informal and open to anyone of any age with an interest in studying Law. Formal qualifications are not always necessary to study Law, if potential students have relevant experience. Members of the Law section will be available to talk about the degree and deal with individual enquiries. During the evening, visitors will have the opportunity to sit on a half-hour lecture from 7-7.30pm, entitled ‘Setting a Precedent: Making and Mending the Law.’
“Law is a dynamic, fast-moving subject which gives access to a range of careers, not only in the legal profession itself but also in industry, local government or education, to name but a few.”
