Prestigious partnership to boost engineering opportunities

11 July 2012

Teesside University has teamed up with a leading engineering software provider to help boost skills and increase productivity in the regional engineering community.

AVEVA is bringing its Breakthrough in Engineering Productivity roadshow to Teesside University’s Darlington campus.

The roadshow, which takes place on Wednesday 18 July from 1.00pm to 4.00pm will showcase AVEVA Electrical – a new design software solution for electrical engineers and designers which delivers dramatically improved productivity.

The free to attend roadshow is targeted at electrical and instrumentation designers and engineers, operations and engineering managers and executive management working on construction, operations and maintenance of major capital facilities.

Teesside University and AVEVA have already been working together for a number of years, with AVEVA software being used for the University’s evening courses, allowing engineers the opportunity to learn outside of working hours.

A joint course, an introduction to AVEVA PDMS, was also recently held at Teesside University Darlington. The new £13m Darlington campus offers a complete university study experience and is already popular with employers working in partnership with the award winning university.
