John graduated last year with a First Class Honours BSC (Hons) degree in Visualisation from the University of Teesside’s highly rated School of Computing & Mathematics. He is now working in Norrkoping, Sweden, as an animator and graphic artist.
He said: “Working in Norrkoping is great practice and good fun. The people are friendly and the lakes freeze right over in winter”.
John added: “My parents are pleased that I’ve found something that I like doing, particularly because I wasn’t keen on school work. When I found the university’s course it suited my interests over the previous eight years and things were more enjoyable. When I was younger I played with an 8mm film camera and I started with some computer graphics, which has led to my present career.”
In the future John hopes to produce short films, working in an enthusiastic team of talented individuals. When he isn’t thinking up animation ideas in music, snowboarding and cooking and John hopes to stay in Sweden for the foreseeable future.
