Open day set Lexy on career path

13 October 2016

Visiting Teesside University during an open day helped to set Lexy Sarginson towards a career path in reproductive sciences.

Lexy, who graduated from the BSc (Hons) Biological Sciences earlier this year, says she knew immediately that Teesside was the place for her.

She said: 'I visited a few other universities on open days, but my first impression of Teesside was of a professional place, dedicated to furthering students’ education.

'The course was perfect for me and I knew to further my career, Teesside was where I needed to be.’

To find out more about what Teesside University has to offer, visit the campus during our open day on Wednesday 19 October.

There will be an opportunity to meet staff and students, tour the campus and facilities and listen to presentations relating to finance and accommodation.

Lexy said: ‘The course, lecturers and opportunities offered were all amazing. The University also offered fantastic opportunities regarding work experience and careers.

'I really feel my time at Teesside prepared me for my future career path,' added Lexy, who is continuing academic study into reproductive sciences and hopes to eventually become involved in embryology research.
