New visuals of the campus based at Here East in the former Olympic Park in Stratford, East London, show a leading-edge learning environment dedicated to collaboration and networking.

Designed by renowned architects Hawkins Brown and design and build contractors Maris Brown Interiors, Teesside University London boasts an exceptional use of space to provide a professional environment for students, staff and partners.

Teesside University places great emphasis on engaging with employers and developing graduates who can make an impact in the workplace from the outset.

As a result, the London campus has been planned with co-design and co-delivery with industry and employers at the forefront, providing an environment where industry and academia can come together in a professional setting.

The largely open-plan setting features a variety of different spaces facilitating serendipitous interaction and cooperation.

In contrast to the traditional lecture theatre, the centre of the campus features a forum with raised circular seating allowing a greater degree of interactivity and collaboration.

With impressive views across London, taking in landmarks such as the Shard, the Gherkin and Canary Wharf, Teesside University London also makes the most of its spectacular setting at the heart of the capital.

An outside terrace, looking across the natural environment of the Olympic Park, and large windows across the entirety of its frontage ensures that Teesside University London is a bright and inviting place to work and study.

We have worked hard to ensure that Teesside University London is designed in such a way that it allows students and employers to come together in a setting which more reminiscent of workplace than an educational institution

Professor Craig Gaskell, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Enterprise and Knowledge Exchange), said: “It is really important that we do everything we can to ensure that Teesside University London enables our students to take full advantage of the opportunities and networks available to them in the capital.

“We have worked hard to ensure that Teesside University London is designed in such a way that it allows students and employers to come together in a setting which more reminiscent of workplace than an educational institution.

“We have also taken great care that the learning environment is conducive to student well-being and provides a welcoming place to work and study.”

With an initial focus on digital technologies and enterprise, Teesside University London capitalises on the University’s strengths in animation and games design and directly links the thriving digital cluster of Middlesbrough, with existing partners based in London.

The London campus will provide a gateway for Teesside University students to access the opportunities of the UK’s capital, levelling-up opportunity and supporting their future success.
