Flagship apprenticeship ready for take off

Teesside University is building on its burgeoning reputation for professional apprenticeship provision by launching the country’s first Senior Leadership Apprenticeship in Aviation Management.

Designed by industry professionals, the Senior Leadership Apprenticeship (Aviation Management) will address the challenges and skills shortages in the aviation sector and develop a future pool of talent to contribute to the industry.

Currently recruiting for a January 2024 start, the programme will provide learners with the knowledge and skills to lead and drive innovation within the aviation industry.

Teesside University, Teesside International Airport and Tees Valley Combined Authority recently announced a joint initiative which will see an Aviation Skills Academy built at the airport – providing an immersive learning experience for students to delve into the intricate workings of the aviation industry.

The Senior Leadership Apprenticeship (Aviation Management) will provide an opportunity for learners to study both at the University and within the brand new Aviation Skills Academy. It also has a flexible delivery model to make it available nationally and is suitable for employers based anywhere in the UK.

“The industry is crying out for skilled staff and we are delighted to be offering the country’s very first Senior Leader Apprenticeship (Aviation Management).
