Why is it important?
Over half the population aged 55 or over have hearing loss, yet it can take people up to 10 years to get their hearing checked.
Who is the test for?
The online hearing test is for you if you’re aged 18 or over and have not been diagnosed with hearing loss.
How does it work? The test measures how well you can hear speech when there’s background noise. You will find out if you need to see someone about your hearing and get advice on what to do next.

Before you attend:
Do you have tinnitus? -
You will hear constant white noise during the test. If you’ll find this uncomfortable, please don’t take the test.
Headphones
You will get a more accurate result using our headphones rather than built-in speakers.
A quiet place
We will use a quiet room for the hearing test where you won’t be disturbed.
