Now in its tenth year, Tranzfuser supports emerging talent from across the UK to develop original game IP and build sustainable studios. This year’s competition saw a record number of applications, with only 21 teams selected nationwide. Teesside’s representation through Shiverbug Studios and Archive Interactive highlights the University’s continued leadership in nurturing entrepreneurial talent in the creative and digital sectors.

Lizzie Dixon, Local Hub Coordinator at Teesside Launchpad, said: “We are incredibly proud to support Shiverbug Studios and Archive Interactive as they embark on this exciting journey. Their selection is a testament to the creativity, ambition, and technical excellence fostered here at Teesside. Tranzfuser plays a vital role in strengthening the regional games ecosystem, and we’re thrilled to be part of it.”

As a designated Tranzfuser Local Hub, Teesside Launchpad will provide both teams with access to workspace, mentoring, and business development support throughout the summer. The teams will work independently to develop a playable vertical slice of their game, which will be showcased to the public later this year.
