Youth and drug taking in the spotlight

The topical area of young people and drugs will be explored in a one-day seminar at the University of Teesside on Wednesday 18 July from 11am-4pm. Hosted by the British Sociological Association (BSA) Youth Study Group, the seminar will be held in Room A2001 in the Teesside Business School, Second Floor, Clarendon Building.

Confirmed speakers include Dr Rob MacDonald, from the University of Teesside’s School of Social Sciences, Lisa Williams from the University of Manchester and Andrew Hill, from the London Institute of Fashion.

Mark Cieslik, seminar convenor, said: “The seminar is open to academics, post-graduate students and also practitioners and policy makers with an interest in research around young people. Seminar papers will report on young peoples’ drug usage in North-East and the North-West of England.”
