University Information Evening for Parents

02 October 2001

The University of Teesside is holding a series of information evenings for parents of young people considering entering Higher Education.

Offering information on all areas of university life, from funding to accommodation, the first Parent’s Evening will be held on Wednesday 10 October at 6.30pm, with two other dates planned for 2002.

Sharon Young, Schools & Colleges Liaison Officer, said: “This is a great opportunity for parents to ask any questions about Higher Education, which has gone through some major changes in the last ten years. As well as discussing Higher Education in general, we will also be talking about our Passport Scheme, which helps smooth the transition for students from Further Education to Higher Education, and also taking a brief tour of the campus.”

The dates for the University of Teesside’s Higher Education Parent’s Evenings are:

Wednesday 10 October 2001 at 6.30pm
Tuesday 19 February 2002 at 6.30pm
Wednesday 29 May 2002 at 6.30pm

In order to attend one of the Higher Education Parent’s Evenings, parents should come along to the Innovation and Virtual Reality Centre Lecture Theatre on the evenings or call Sharon Young on 01642 344254 for more information.
