New Independent Movie Evening at University

Flying martial artists, the Sex Pistols and tortured writers. All these and more feature in the University of Teesside’s new independent cinema season, kino, which opens for business on Thursday 18 October at 7.30pm. Sponsored by the Cornerhouse pub in Middlesbrough kino is based at the University’s cinema, Europa Building, Woodlands Road, Middlesbrough. The kino season runs in parallel to the University’s main cinema programme.

kino features the best independent and arthouse pictures and begins with the stunning Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, winner of this year's Best Foreign Language Film Oscar.

All tickets cost £3.50 or £2.50 with a National Union of Students card. All films are screened on Thursdays. The full programme is:
