Investment Zone Academic Engagement Event

The engagement events are open to all Teesside University academics and will give an overview of the opportunities available for staff under the Investment Zone initiative. It will provide focus on the opportunities available for Teesside University staff and researchers in particular, including funding opportunities and training opportunities. These are drop-ins, no booking is required.

The Proof of Concept (PoC) Fund is a £600,000 fund from the Tees Valley Investment Zone Research & Innovation Programme. It exists to support Teesside University researchers to advance early-stage innovations and projects towards commercialisation.

Applicants can apply for up to £40,000 per project, and the funding is intended to de-risk technologies, demonstrate feasibility and enable progression to licensing, spin-out formation, or further investment.
