Prime Minister Tony Blair praises the University of Teesside on recent visit to open the Olympia Building:

"Teesside is getting an increasing reputation, year by year, as a university that is going places, providing an increasing high standard and quality of education to students. It is a university that combines a very high pure academic education with also a whole series of degree courses that are based on the work and activities that people intend to do when they leave university."
