If you are a registered nurse or midwife looking for the next step in your career, studying to become a health visitor or school nurse on our Postgraduate Diploma in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN), could be for you.

SCPHN are culturally competent, autonomous public health practitioners dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of individuals, families, and communities. They lead safe, inclusive and evidence-based interventions to prevent illness, protect health, and promote wellbeing across the life course.

Working collaboratively with other professionals and organisations, they address the wider determinants of health and reduce inequalities, applying advanced communication and leadership skills to support holistic assessment, safeguarding, and sustainable health improvement.

They use research and critical understanding to influence the public health agenda, driving lasting positive change in communities.

Salaried student roles and funded course fees allow you to earn alongside your learning, with full time (52 weeks), part-time (82 weeks) and apprenticeship (78 weeks) options.

Register now for our interactive webinar to learn more about the SCPHN role, discuss our innovative and practice-based programmes with the course team, and chat to local employers about this exciting learning and career opportunity.
