October open days

We're opening our doors to visitors considering making the move into higher education. We look forward to seeing you.

The open days are particularly aimed at students currently in further education who are looking forward to progressing to University. The events will be held from 10.00am to 3.00pm on Saturday 11 October and Wednesday 15 October.

Tour the campus Both open days will give you opportunity to tour the campus. You and your parents can view accommodation on campus and meet current students and staff. Teachers are also welcome to arrange for a visit during either day with a group of their own students.

We scored highly for overall student satisfaction in this year’s National Student Survey, with 94% for Design and 96% for Media Studies. In addition, Law came second nationally for overall student satisfaction, with a huge score of 98%. Our students also put us in the top ten nationally for overall student satisfaction in History, Medical Technology (Radiography), Nursing, Social Work and Forensic Science.

Meanwhile figures published by the Higher Education Statistics Agency for 2006/07 showed that 91.3% of our graduates who gained a first degree were either in work or undertaking further study six months after leaving.
