1,000 learners enrolled

29 June 2011

Teesside University has reached a landmark milestone in partnership with the Military Police at Southwick Park, Portsmouth - enrolling the 1,000th learner.

Corporal Alan Ashley, of the RAF Police was presented with a memento at an enrolment event held in June at the Defence College of Policing and Guarding.

He joins 999 other serving police from the Royal Military Police, the Royal Air Force Police, and the Royal Navy Police enrolling on a higher education accredited course.

The Partnership represents the first time the Police units of the three forces have been educated and trained together and benefitted from a range of accredited investigator courses at higher education levels 4 and 5.

Corporal Ashley’s enrolment is evidence of the success of the partnership between the Defence College of Policing and Guarding and Teesside University with graduates serving in Military Policing units around the world.
