The event is for any student who:
• is experiencing anxieties about returning to campus
• would like time to sit and relax in a quiet space with a tea or coffee
• has any question about their university experience or is unsure where they need to go on campus
• has a question about accessing support services
• would like to talk to someone about accessing mental health, welfare and disability support or counselling
Support session are available from Monday 20th to Friday 25th September 9am-12pm and Monday 27th to Friday 1st October 9am-12pm
You do not have to book, just drop in between 9am-12pm at The Lounge in the Student Life Building - refreshments will be provided
The aim of the transition event is to provide a quiet space for students to manage their anxiety, or to access a quiet moment should they feel overwhelmed for any reason on their return to campus.
Staff at the event will provide an informal space to support students to manage their wellbeing on their return back to campus.
Staff can provide advice, guidance, and signposting to students about how to access services or how to access support for a specific need such as finance, accommodation, academic, disability, welfare or mental health.
