Happy days for Teesside’s international students

International students have been extremely positive about their experiences at Teesside University, ranking it number one in over 25 categories in a major global survey.

International students have been extremely positive about their experiences at Teesside University, ranking it number one in over 25 elements in a major survey.

The Autumn International Student Barometer (ISB) 2022 is a global survey which gathers important feedback from international students across the world in a wide range of areas.

This year almost 120,000 students were surveyed, across 131 global universities – with rankings categorised as either global or UK.

Teesside University ranked 1st out of 32 UK Universities and 2nd out of 131 global universities for overall happiness.

Globally, Teesside also ranked first for communication with students (out of 131 universities), learning technology (out of 130 universities), and online learning materials (out of 128 universities).

In the UK, Teesside University ranked first for value for money (out of 32 universities), career goal preparation (out of 28 universities) and overall support (out of 32 universities).

Over 1,800 of Teesside University’s international students took part in the ISB, placing Teesside at number one in 27 different elements in total, including:

  • Course organisation (out of 32 universities)
  • Physical library facilities (out of 129 universities)
  • Campus buildings (out of 32 universities)
  • Learning spaces (out of 130 universities)
  • Assessment (out of 32 universities)
  • Learning technology (out of 130 universities).

It positions itself as an international university with a global network of partnerships and attracts high quality students and staff from across the world.

Students from over 100 countries have graduated from Teesside University and it has successful partnerships with universities across the globe, including leading institutions in the Czech Republic, Spain, China, India, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Singapore.
