The University is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion and this recognition reflects the excellent work that has been done to improve accessibility for visually impaired applicants, students, and colleagues.

To gain the accreditation, the University completed an assessment by aligning working practices to the RNIB Visibly Better Employer quality standard, demonstrating inclusive recruitment practices such as assisted technology and software to help colleagues and students who are visually impaired.

RNIB representatives attended the University during National Inclusion Week to present the award to Juliet Amos, Executive Director of Human Resources, Emma Bradburn, Digital Learning Specialist and Disability Focus Group Chair and Saliah Hameed Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Lead at Teesside University.

This kind of recognition acknowledges our commitment to inclusivity, equality, and diversity towards all colleagues and students.
