As a current Teesside University student, you will have the opportunity to apply to one of our student roles in Student and Library Services. You will work across Student and Library Services (Library, Student Life Building and The Buttery) to help manage the learning environments, assist with customer enquiries, and contribute to the SLS model of customer service excellence.

Your responsibilities

- Provide on-campus and online support to students.

- Assist with self-service systems and building access.

- Actively promote our services across campus.

- Contribute to our model of Customer Service Excellence.

- Partake in exciting project work to improve the services we offer and champion the student voice.

- Ensure all SLS learning environments are kept tidy and well-managed, including the shelving of books in the Library.

Further information

We are looking for students to join the SLS team who are customer focused and passionate about supporting their peers during their time at Teesside University. You will be paid £12.91 per hour. Work is offered 7 days a week in shift blocks to suit you and your studies. There is also the opportunity to support us with projects. If you are successful, compulsory training will take place on Monday 30 June 2025 (afternoon).

How to apply

To become a Student Engagement Assistant, you must be a current Teesside University student studying at least 60 credits. You will apply online via the UniTemps.

Applications will close on Sunday 1 June 2025 (please note, this date may change depending on the volume of applications received). If you are shortlisted, you will be invited to a face-to-face interview on 16 or 17 June and a group interview on either 18, 19 or 20 June.

We recommend all interested applicants attend one of our Find Out More sessions on 20, 21 or 22 May 2025.

Wed 21 May, 10am-11am,
Thur 22 May, 10am-11am.
