Open Access is about making research outputs freely available, so that anyone can read, use, and build on them where applicable. This can include:

- Publishing openly

- Sharing datasets, methods, or other research materials

- Engaging the wider public, communities or policy makers with your work

- Recognising the people and processes that support open and equitable research

Monday - The launch of the Open Research Exhibition. Institutional Rights Retention Policy and the fundamentals of Open Access will be explored.

Tuesday - We have guest speaker Tim Fellows from Octopus.ac discussing the platform and the benefits it brings to your research.

Wednesday - What are Creative Commons licences and how to spot predatory publishing practices.

Thursday - Guest speakers will explore how to make your research accessible to partners and policy-makers (Dr Bridget Sealey).

Friday - Concluding the week we will be exploring Open Access and REF and how to share your research early, with the opportunity to ask any questions at the end of the week in a panel Q&A.

Who can attend? We welcome attendees who are:

- Postgraduate Research Students

- Early Career Researchers

- Academics and Research Staff

- Professional and Support Staff who support or enable research
